A Fantasy book (even better a series) with travel between different worlds.
Some examples of what am I am talking about and have enjoyed are, The Cradle Series, Mage Errant, The Fionavar Tapestry and of course The Chronicles of Narnia.
Pendragon isn’t quite fantasy, more in the science fiction realm, but it might fit the bill?

Raybearer duology by Jordan Ifueko (there is portal travel in book 1, and in the second the MC goes to essentially the underworld)
