14 year old family member has gone down a rabbithole of Andrew Tate and other misogynistic, transphobic, xenophobic, homophobic people he found on the internet.
He is interested in history and stuff, so I’m looking for something that can gently make him think. Nonfiction (if it’s not too crazy hard of a read) or fiction.
I am thinking along the lines of Sapians or 21 Lessons but open to other ideas.

Maybe some books by Ursula K LeGuin? She wrote a lot of excellent sci-fi and fantasy. *The Left Hand of Darkness* has a lot of critiques of traditional gender roles
Or maybe The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander, which follows an immature young man as he grows. Taran has the best character arc in all of literature. As a bonus, one of his closest friends is a smart and capable young woman.
I read Blood and Honor by Reinhold Kerstan with my dad growing up. It’s about a boy who is chosen to be a part of Hitler’s youth in Nazi Germany. It shows much of the indoctrination that went on. It may be eye opening for him. The one downside is it is technically a Christian book, but I don’t remember it being very in your face or preachy. It’s a good one if he likes history.
Black Like Me could also be a good option
