I was interested in reading some 90s thrillers. I had picked up a bundle of John Grishams. The second one I read was A Painted House. I should say I like to go in as blind as possible. Within the first 2 pages I knew it was not the type of book I wanted to be reading. By the 10th chapter or so I felt as though nothing was happening haha! I never give up on a book, I persevered. Reading the final paragraph of the book I had a lump in my throat having read a touching an excellent coming of age story I would recommend to any kind of reader.

{{Between two fires}} by Christopher Buehlman. Its completely out of my genre but I ended up liking the feel of dread that the whole world had.
