I found that reading a series of books is hard for me, meaning if a book is in a trilogy for example, I can read the first book with ease when i really like it, but the second takes time, and I mostly DNF them shortly after starting, even when I think they are good. I’m not sure why but I read less and less books nowadays, but I still feel like I want to whenever I go into a book store. So this is why I’m asking for your help. I’m looking for standalone books, which have no continuation. Young adult and adult books would be the best. Fantasy and romance are my two favourite genres, but I’m asking for two things other than these: no graphic smut, and a good relationship – no toxicity, or too fast one day romance for example. I just want a wholesome and cute relationship in a fantastical world.

{{The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune}}
There’s apparently a second part coming out next year, but the novel works just fine as a standalone. I would have never expected a sequel.
