    Beginner reader, any easy picks?

Good day! I am a new lad here, I have found reading to be something I actually enjoy and something from which I can create a healthy habit!

But I am just a beginner, I’d get confused if I get to read complex books with some godly english level.

I don’t mind any genre, I’d love to hear some simple picks from y’all!

    See you!

    1. You might want to pick up a David Sedaris book. They’re full of autobiographical comedic essays, so they’re very easy to follow and laugh out loud funny. “Naked” and “Me Talk Pretty One Day” are the ones I’ve seen suggested most, but I loved all 7 that I read/listened to

Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. Good story, easy to follow, simple prose but well written with a very distinct voice, and super short (like 35k words). A typical daily reader can probably finish it in under 2 hours, for a new reader maybe 4 hours at most.

    3. I recommend “The Catcher in the Rye”, a novel by J. D. Salinger. It’s easy to read, and it’s one of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century.

    4. the dresden files is a urban fantasy similar to harry potter but also similar to buffy the vampire slayer and angel, the audiobooks are also wonderfully read by spike from buffy and he is basically the spitting image of the main character from the book so its not hard to read or imaging.

    5. What do you like to read?

There are easy to read books of all types. If you don’t know what you like to read – what do you think you will like – or what TV shows or movies do you like?
