I’m anticipating the movie saltburn because it has certain elements I love in books like The Talented Mr. Ripley, Brideshead Revisited, The Secret History, The Goldfinch, These Violent Delights etc. The elements I seem to enjoy (even though it’s not necessary for all the boxes to be ticked) are a complex relationship usually accompanied by repressed feelings (or expressed but accompanied by a sense of insecurity), class differences and an occasional sense of excess, moral ambiguity… you get my drift.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend me something of the sort.
