I’m looking for a few books to read- I haven’t read a whole lot over the last few years and I’m looking to get back into the swing of it. I’d like some low-stakes, more laid-back fantasy/fantasy-adjacent novels or novellas. LGBT+ protags are a bonus, as are standalones, but I’m open to reading pretty much anything.

I’ve read and very much enjoyed The House in the Cerulean Sea and a handful of Janet Evanovich mysteries, as well as Red White and Royal Blue, for an idea of my current tastes lol. I do own Legends and Lattes and I’ve read a few chapters, but I’m just not clicking with it right now so I’ve set it aside to come back to later.

    1. Sci-fi, not fantasy, but Becky Chambers sounds like an author you might enjoy.

For a cozy post apocalypse, *The Wall* by Marlen Haushofer is very good.
