id love any suggestions for book recommendations for my mom for christmas! she used to read a lot and is the main reason i became such a big reader as a kid, but she hasnt read anything in a couple years. so i wanted to give her a book/books for Christmas to help her ignite her love for reading! shes 56 and im thinking more fiction book recommendations. i dont want to give too much information about her away but she watches reality tv (the bachelor) and those silly new rom com movies and shows on netflix. she also has a dog and speaks spanish. id love no smut or like sex scenes (implication is okay) bc that be kinda embarrassing for me to give her lol.. thank you!

I feel like if she watches rom coms, she might like Sophie Kinsella books. She writes light-hearted stuff that usually centers on romance.

    2. Lessons in Chemistry might be a good read for her! The dog in that book is my favorite part.

Also anything by Liane Moriarty. Big Little Lies is really good and not intimidatingly long.

I (59F) also highly recommend The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. There are now 4 in the series and they’re all really great. The treatment of older adults by the author is fantastic. They’re smart, vibrant and living life.

A super cute clean read called Reality in the Kitchen by Olivia Burke is a really cute book. It is about a reality cooking show where two contestants fall for each other.

You also may also want to check out Janet Evanovich books iif you want something funny and has some mystery. Like her older ones: Full House or Love in a Nutshell.

Also Sharon Sala series called Blessings, Georgia. Older characters in them as well as some love stories and other characters that fill out the stories with some humor, drama and sweet moments.
