I’ve been reading Ted Chang‘s story of your life and others.
I’m very emotionally drawn into the story perhaps because I have seen the movie and hearing the details is adding more depth to the story, but I also realize that I really like the aliens, and by using aliens as a tool to show a alternate way of thinking it’s connecting with me more.
I think you could’ve had a very similar story but use familiar people without the same impact simply because the aliens are unfamiliar and create curiosity with me.
Any suggestions? Doesn’t have to be aliens it could be just something nonhuman.
