Notes From The Edge of the Narrative Matrix by Caitlin Johnstone

Divided World Divided Class by Zak Cope

    3. *Understanding Power,* by Noam Chomsky.

*The Death of the Liberal Class,* by Chris Hedges.

    4. It’s not non-fiction and it isn’t about specific current events, but A Simply Remarkable Thing (and sequel) by Hank Green felt like a pretty relevant take on misinformation and social media and the general current moment. There are some sci fi aspects, but with a “very near future” feel.

    5. *The Deluge* by Stephen Markley. It’s fiction, but very much a serious look at how many modern issues could progress. The focus is on climate. One of the better books I’ve encountered lately.

    6. beyond 1984 i am not allowed to tell you the others as they are see as racist even thought they perfectly describe the issues in america today. im not saying they are great but their stories are interesting reads from a like stepped back perspective and you might want to go to a website that cares more about freedom of speech to get a good answer
