Hi, I know this is very specific, but there’s an itch in my brain that demands to be satisfied. The vendor at the bookstore just looked at me weird, so I’m hoping you can help.
So: I’m looking for a historical fiction where a born female protagonist hides as a man to get an education/for safety or for other reasons. The exact epoch doesn’t really matter to me. I’ve read “Pope Joan” and “She who became the sun”. The romance in the first one was ick but overall I liked both books.
The main character can be cis or it can be more complex.
