this might be a bit more low-key than what you want, but The Foundling by Georgette Heyer is about a Duke who’s been helicoptered and micro-cossetted since he was born, and who just wants to be “Plain Mr Dash, of nowhere in particular”. Then a young cousin confides he’s being blackmailed, he sets out to confront the blackmailer, meets the bait (a staggeringly beautiful girl), and vanishes off the map of Polite Society.
it won’t be what you expect it to be, probably. but it’s very funny in a subverts-expectations type way, and he has another devastatingly dashing and handsome soldier cousin to bring a bit of the Scaramouche.
