I’ve had the Midnight Library on my list to read for a few years, but finally decided to read it because I saw it recommended so much on this sub recently. I’ve never read books about parallel universes before, but have really been struggling lately with mourning the lives I won’t live. It’s been a hard year for me and I’m not really happy with my life, so I’ve been trying to decide what I want to do (which means I really felt for Nora). Sooo… any recs for books of any genre that are even remotely similar or have similar themes ? Thanks in advanced! And also, thanks for those of you that have mentioned that book a lot recently, because I really needed it

Try “100 Years of Lenni and Margot”.
The audiobook was really really well narrated if you’re into audiobooks.
It’s an overall sad story, but it left me with a similar feeling to The Midnight Library, and I laughed more than I cried🤍
i think you would like the darkness outside us by eliot schrefer. i don’t really want to give you my reasons as to why because of spoilers. the plot is very different, but you’ll likely appreciate the themes, and i think you’ll understand my recommendation by the end.
{{Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune}}
The five people you meet in heaven
Replay by Ken grimwood
Life after life by Kate Atkinson
Thriller/sci Fi twist Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid has parallel lives/alternate universe.
Books with similar vibes, but not specifically parallel universes:
– Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr
– A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
– Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
– Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
