Exactly what the title says. A relatable book about the hardships and beauty of navigating your early 20s and the female experience. Preferably fiction but I’m open to all suggestions.
I’ve already read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath—that one always gets recommended to me when I ask this question.

The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker. I think everyone should read it but especially 20somethings.
Educated by Tara Westover. Our 20s are a time of great growth and self reflection. Her journey is amazing and beautifully written. Her experiences are unique and her own but it’s all of our responsibility to deal with our trauma which makes her book so good.
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. Just because it’s my favorite book and good for a laugh.
Kama Sutra for a fun and enjoyable 20s.
Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski.
These aren’t about beauty but they are historical fiction about beautiful, brave young women.
The Nightengale by Kristen Hannah
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
For something a lot more upbeat than Gavin De Becker, check out DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD by Rebecca Wells.
Fear of Flying by Erica Jong
