I’ve been trying to alternate between science fiction and other fiction, because I don’t want to become that person that only reads one genre, and I don’t want to burn out on outer space. But most non-sci-fi novels I’ve tried recently have been slight disappointments — I miss having a plot that pulls me along, and I miss big, creative ideas.
