I loved it – for me it was delightful, brilliantly crafted, and totally inspired. I especially loved the “inside look” at the Google campus.
I also signed up for his newsletters from his website – his newsletters are just as quirky and offbeat and interesting as his novels.

I like it! I loved how it felt more sinister and puzzly than it turned out to be, but I do have to mention that one of their other books *Sourdough* kind of leans hard on the “look at me I know the tech industry better than most people” vibe heavily that it was distracting. I’m glad Penumbra felt less so.
I didn’t really enjoy it. The writing couldn’t really keep my attention and I found the narrator a bit annoying. Though I thought the premise was interesting since I like books about books, libraries and bookshops.
