This week, Jon Fosse of Norway joins Svetlana Alexeivich (Belarusian), Olga Tokarczuk (Polish) and Annie Ernaux (French) as the 4th writer to have a Nobel Prize in Literature signed with Fitzcarraldo Editions. Clearly this very small publishing company is doing something very well; especially considering it was founded in 2014.
In terms of accessibility though, which writer would you start with? It seems to me the authors they publish are often pushing ambitious/experimental writing styles…

Start with Olga Tokarczuk. Her flights of fancy aren’t too taxing on the imagination.
