I am slightly obsessed with Beowulf and meditations on morality. My favorite is John Gardner’s story about Grendel, who makes a really enjoyable anti-hero. What other adaptations or re-tellings of Beowulf would you recommend?
This is just me being trash, but Michael Chrichton “Eatters of the Dead/The Thirteenth Warrior” has a special place in my heart. It re-imagines the Beowulf conflict in a fun way.

I actually liked the 2007 animation. The Christopher Lambert version was cheesy but had gorgeous women.
