    I tend to like biographies, but I’m just not in the mood to read biographies of crazy successful people like princes or presidents or CEOs or TV stars. (I’m feeling quite anxious about my own life right now.)

    Are there any good biographies of people that are somewhat normal? Maybe they did moderately cool things later in life that warranted a biography. Preferably they’re not a white man (nothing against them) or someone who defied the absolute craziest odds.

    But still a good read; I know that might be a lot to ask!

      It’s a graphic novel, but the first one that comes to mind is Fun Home by Alison Bechdel

    2. “The Poison Squad: One Chemist’s Single-Minded Crusade for Food Safety at the Turn of the Twentieth Century” by Deborah Blum… unfortunately it’s a white man, but I think his effort was important for us and not many people know about him
