Are there any books out there that are historically accurate portrayals of what happened, but are told in the sense of a one main character story, so for example instead of just retelling what happened with Caesar maybe it follows the story of a worker around the time of the rise of Caesar? And we can see it through the workers point of view?
It might be a long shot 🥹 but I’m really interested in learning about more history this way, it doesn’t have to be ancient it can be any time period really, but I thought ancient would probably have more scope.
I’ve been adding to my new reading for next year and I can’t seem to focus on long dense history books so would hope this would exist in an accurate informative way, thanks!
