After not reading anything for many years I decided to check out a series I was interested in and renewed my spark for reading, but the only books that really hold my attention are science fiction, space opera, aliens etc. So far I have read the Three Body Problem series, Foundation, 3/4 Hyperion books, and the Southern Reach Trilogy although that one wasn’t that good imo, wouldn’t really consider it scifi even it was more like poetic dreamscape or something. My favorite were the hyperion books by far, could hardly put them down. Still have yet to read the 4th Hyperion book and I have Leviathan Wakes but I considered giving it away just because there’s so many books in the series and they’re all huge. I don’t want to be stuck in the same story for years unless someone can convince me otherwise. Lemme know.

Have you read Dune? It’s much older (1950’s) but I think it’s my personal fav.

Also what about Dust. That’s a good few books and it’s pretty short. Or books by Cory Doctorov? Or Charles Sheffield?
