As the title says, I am looking for recommendations to read when you feel stuck or feel very low energy. My mental health has been on a decline and I find comfort in reading. I am pretty open to every genre, however my usual go to’s are magical realism, sci-fi operas, fantasy and magic.

I was recommended a few self help/ philosophical books by some friends but I am just overall struggling to get into it atm.

    TIA for your suggestions.

The bar you always wanted to find where “shared pain is lessened, shared joy increased”

Howl’s Moving Castle on audiobook fit this bill for me recently. And apparently “cozy fantasy” is a whole genre. I hope things start looking up for you soon.

This isn’t necessarily a specific book recommendation, but I would suggest finding a book that is really just stupid fun. I jokingly read a romance book that my sister and I found and were making fun of, and now I love the series. To be fair, it is awful. Every trope in the world is used, but it’s really silly fun, and I think that can just help because you get to focus on something fun. 🙂
