    So, as the title implies, I’m looking for any book/books there is, about dead or extinct languages. Maybe even about those we can’t read since we have no translation or only limited ones.

    Would be happy for any help.

      The Horse, the Wheel, and Language by David Anthony. Deals with archeology as well. It covers specifically how Proto Indo-European (a somewhat lost language. It’s the origin of tons of languages, including English, but what we know about it has largely been reverse engineered) have spread across the globe, and the role of horses and the wheel.

      It might be more academic than what you’re looking for.
