Hello everyone. I’m looking for some books that match the themes and vibes of the games Hotline Miami and Kane and Lynch 2. Both games are about amoral characters that are deeply mentally ill, who leave behind absolute carnage wherever they go, intentionally or not. Maybe they have their own justifications for it, maybe there’s no reason at all. I want something that’s very in you face and confrontational. I want something dark, chaotic, visceral, and grimy.

“Drive” by James Sallis is about a stunt driver who has a side job as getaway driver for criminals.
But, I think you should give “Fear and loathing in Las Vegas” by the late great Hunter S. Thompson a try. Sure, there are no dead bodies, but the absolute chaos that follows Thompson’s stand-in as he experiences autobiographical incidents from Thompson’s life while in a drug-induced haze . . . the book is an experience.
