Hello- I am an author and my next book is about food of my state , the emotions they represent and the relationships that are forged over food . I am looking for inspirations from books with similar themes . Any books that you can recommend would be highly appreciated .

Michael Pollan has written some excellent books about food. _The Omnivore’s Dilemma_, _In Defense of Food_, and _Cooked_.
The last is probably closest to the theme you’re looking for; it covers the various ways (baking, cooking over fire, fermenting, etc) that people turn the raw materials of nature into edible food, and the relationships that cooking creates among people, and between people and food.
With the fire on high by Elizabeth Acevedo
It is a light-hearted and warm book. May not be much intense, but does show a nice relation between emotions and food.
[Like Water for Chocolate](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6952) by Laura Esquival may be up your alley.
Between Two Fires by Laura Esquivel would match exactly what you’re looking for.
Land of Milk and Honey by C Pam Zhang
I’d recommend Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner! It’s a memoir in which the author tries to cope with their mother’s death which includes reminiscing about the memories they shared which largely involves food.
