As the title says I‘m looking for a book with good fight scenes. Preferably with an FMC that doesn’t have to rely on a guy! Queer romances would be nice but straight or no romance is good as well.
Gideon the Ninth might be what you’re looking for! The main character is a swordswoman and there’s lots of really fun fight scenes featuring swords and animated skeletons. There’s arguably not *really* romance, but it is incredibly queer nonetheless.

*The One Who Eats Monsters* (urban fantasy, wlw). It sets up a really cool and unique fantasy world and has great characters.
The *Nemesis* Series (Superhero fiction, lesbian trans girl mc). The fight scenes in particular stood out to me as exceedingly well written, particularly in the first book. They have a great sense of speed and impact, and do a good job at keeping tension up while maintaining the idea that the mc is one of the strongest superheroes on the planet (a la Superman). First book is *Dreadnought*, second is *Sovereign*
