So long story short since I was 16 I’ve been trying to figure out which book this is that I read in school, remember, and enjoyed to the point of not forgetting it, countless google searches over the years have led me nowhere.
The synopsis I can remember is this-
A guy (the protagonist)wakes up in a bed and/or chairs tied up to a woman he doesn’t recognize and the antagonist with blond hair reveals himself and knows the protagonist, the ant. has the prot. do a job for him involving a gun and killing someone but he can’t bring himself to do it, the prot. turns out to be some sort of sleeper agent with telekinetic powers he doesn’t remember and another good guy comes along and starts to reteach him his skills but he can’t grasp them, at one point the prot. Is in a field of rocks wondering why he can’t lift any up but then in a fit of blind rage he cries on the ground while every stone in a large radius is lifted very high in the air, the prot. Helper notices this and looks on the nearby cliff to make sure the blonde antagonist isn’t the one lifting the rocks, next thing I remember is a section where the ant. and prot. meet in a building and the prot. slows down time or something of the sort and there was a gun involved.
This can’t all be in my head, I know it was a book and I can’t be the only person who read it in school. What sucks is over the years the details have gotten foggier. Help
