My grandma recently finished a book called Dovetail (written by Karen McQuestion) which she had on her shelf for a long time. She really enjoyed it and now has a newfound interest in reading which is really sweet. She’s now hinting that she’d like more books for Christmas.
I’m hoping that maybe some of you could recommend novels that I could gift her? She is not an advanced reader so ideally the book would be an easy read and not too long. Additionally, she is very wholesome so anything with explicit language or sex scenes is out of the question. And lastly, I feel like she prefers stories rooted in present or past reality- as opposed to fantasy or sci-fi. I also feel like she would be open to horror but just not anything too edgy, ya know.
