Recently ive been hungry for some detective/suspense/horror fictions. Ive just borrowed Allan Poe and finished Agatha’s 《and then there were none》(honestly i felt slightly disappointed when the truth is disclosed, idk why) i just want to the tense and terror in books, please give me some advice and recommendations. Ive heard of Stephen king and James Patterson, but i dont know what to start off with😗(last horror fiction i read was goosebumps🤣)

Stephen King’s *Mr. Mercedes* would be a real wild place to start for some detective suspense fiction
{{The Dry by Jane Harper}}
It has a tense and thrilling feel to it, though without any horror elements. The book might seem a bit slow in some parts but it makes up for it in the twists mostly.
