    1. I told friends that the author of A Crack in Creation: Gene Editing and the Unthinkable Power to Control Evolution was going to win a Nobel Prize. Two years later, Jennifer Doudna (author) won the Nobel for her CRISPR gene editing work. The part of the title “power to control evolution” grabbed my attention. The book is accessible for a non-biologist. It also includes some things to worry about on the gene editing front, like human cloning, due to the incredibly cheap equipment to get started it.
