hi all! my mother is looking for good books for my 16-year-old brother, and i thought i’d come here to ask for recommendations! he said he’d like more action-centered books with main characters around his age. he hasn’t read anything for fun in a while, but he really enjoyed Percy Jackson when he was in late-elementary school/early middle school, and I also believe he enjoyed Scythe by Neil Shusterman. so, whatever recs you have, i’d love to hear them! thank you!

Try him on *Guards, Guards!* or *Mort* by Terry Pratchett. If he ends up liking Discworld, there’s plenty more where those came from.

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen was my favorite book when I was a little younger than him. A kid goes to visit his dad in Canada when his small airplane crashes in the middle of nowhere and he is the only survivor. All he has is a hatchet to survive. It is a sort of coming of age book. I thought it was great so maybe he will too.

Im 17 and just finished the Maze Runner (first 3 not the prequels). Really great YA book series.
