Looking for literary books with strong nature and narrative themes, similar to The Peregrine and Death Comes for the Archbishop…

I’m looking for books that have a strong natural element and descriptions of landscape in addition to narrative, personal transformation, or historical background. I also love autobiographies and memoirs!

Some of my favorites are in the title. I will read fiction or non-fiction.

I have been recommended Snow Leopard and Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, and I have also ordered In Earshot of Water.
