Fantasy: World of the Five Gods series by Bujold. There are some secondary LGBT characters here and there and Penric subseries has a character who explores some ideas of being gender-non-conforming without being LGBTQ+ by the modern standards.

Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir- Lesbian guard of a Necromancer explores a haunted mansion.
There’s some gnarly looking monsters, a murder-mystery plot, and while Gideon is the sort of girl to appreciate a nice pair of breasts, 2.5 books into the series there hasn’t been anything that I’d call smut.
