I’d love to hear others thoughts on Duke. At times I couldn’t STAND him and at times I felt so compassionate(?? Not sure if that is the right word for it) towards him. I wanted more of his childhood/background.
I enjoyed the book. I liked that Lara liked her life on the cherry farm with her family- so simple but enough.

I didn’t need much more of Duke. He seemed like a well drawn out character, but more details didn’t seem relevant to Lara’s story. I think we got just enough of Duke.
I enjoyed the book too. Not as much as The Dutch House for some reason, but I liked it quite a bit.
