I am looking for suggestions where there’s more plot than world building or character development. I read for things to HAPPEN. Which I know isn’t the case for most. I read just about any genre but not the biggest on romance (though I’ve read a couple from Christiana Lauren and really liked their books that I read).
Things I enjoyed: The Mist, Project Hail Mary, Ophie’s Ghosts (middle grade), My Lovely Wife, The Witch’s Heart, Circe.
Things that bored me because not enough happened: From Below, Vampires of El Norte, The Ferryman, Kaikayi.
What do you suggest I try??? I need some exciting/fun/plot moves along kinda books this time of year. Badly.
