Hi guys! I hope you can help me out here 🙂
I’m looking for literature in portuguese, written by brazilian authors. I grew up bilingual (german and portuguese) in germany. Which sadly means that my portuguese isn‘t exactly perfect. I‘ve searched for books now and again but it’s hard to find any that are available here, in germany 🙁

I enjoy fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, also non fiction concerning social issues. (Some authors/books I enjoy: Siri Hustvedt, Robin Hobb, G. R. R. Martin, Scott Lynch, Samantha Shannon, Manda Scott)
Maybe someone can recommend an author with an approachable writing style. I really want to improve but I still want to be able to enjoy it 🙂
Also I’m 26 if that helps in any way! Thanks guys!

    1. If you’re learning to get used to the language, I think you should start with Turma da Mônica comic books by Maurício de Sousa. They’re targeted to children, but are enjoyable for people of any age

For the actual books, these are ones that I like:

_Dom Casmurro_ by Machado de Assis

_Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas_ by Machado de Assis

_Hora da Estrela_ by Clarice Lispector

_Grande Sertão: Veredas_ by Guimarães Rosa
