As the title says, I’m struggling with a lot of low mood and depression lately due to the season, and I’m looking for something that will be nice to read during that. Usually, I like horror and family dramas. I like romances, but only often only m/m.

I often find that old favorites help me the most while depressed. For me that’s often post-apocalyptic stuff so not necessarily something that’s light.

How about a book about youthful hijinks? DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD by Rebecca Wells is full of that, hardly a drop of anything heavy. Or lite horror maybe? The Blackwater series by Michael McDowell is a Southern Gothic family drama.
