Hi everyone
I’d love to learn more about Native American history (apologies if any of my terminology is wrong), but don’t know where to start. I’m from the UK and didn’t learn anything about that time in history at school.
Does anyone have a handful of recommendations for learning? I was thinking pre-europrean landings or possibly first contact. I’m not the best of readers, and struggle with dense paragraphs, so perhaps some books that also include pictures.
Thank you in advance

Pre landing is probably 1491: New revelations of the Americas before Columbus, by Charles Mann.
You could do worse than 1493, the follow up
Eduardo Galeano. Start with the Children of the Days – it goes through each year from an indigenous perspective. It’s wonderful and more accessible than it sounds. Then read his Memory of Fire trilogy. Short, vivid chapters.
