Hi everyone !
I have to write a thesis for my Master’s in Comparative Literature and I’d like to know if you have any suggestions for science fiction works that explore the deterioration of human societies after climate collapse (but not from an American author).
I’ve already read McCarthy’s “The Road” and Butler’s “The Parable of the Sower,” and I’m looking for other non-American books focused on the same theme (whether it’s translated in English or not).
Thank you so much in advance!

*Memory of Water* by Emmi Itäranta – Beautifully written and poetic dystopian book about a girl and her friend as they live in a world where water is rationed. It’s basically a character study in an interesting post-apocalyptic world. Doesn’t have much action, but features some very interesting post-change conversations.
The manga Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki
Doggerland – Ben Smith
Not sure it’s focused enough on that topic for your thesis, as I seem to be in a minority who view the book as being so much about this, but Amatka by Karin Tidbeck, Swedish author.
Not exactly a dystopia, but check out The three body problem trilogy
