I’m currently reading Crime and Punishment right now, on Part 5. I stopped reading for a few months because I was busy with school and kinda just fell out of a routine, but I am working on fully getting back into reading after I had to read A Study In Emerald for a class and enjoyed it so much. I started reading in 2020, during the pandemic. I just figured I should start a new hobby or do something more productive if I have to stay home all day, and so the first book I decided to read was The Godfather. Ever since, I’ve been reading more of classic fiction books, self-help novels, also manga and light novels. How about you guys?

    2. “Trail of the Lost”, about searching for long lost hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail. Before that it was a novel. I read novels, history and other nonfiction. I started reading before I started grade school. My dad would sit me on his lap and read the newspaper to me, pointing out words. Comic books, like Donald Duck and Superman were my early favorites. I’ve always read.

    3. I, robot from Asimov. My older cousin gifted me a novel called: “in the land of the mammoths” when i was 9 years old. This started a lifetime obsession with literature for me. I am 33 currently and i have finished thousands of books, but this particular novel was the start.

    4. Currently reading (kind of. I’ve been on a break for a few weeks) Caesar’s Women by Colleen Mccullough.

Got into reading for pleasure when my middle school had a library sale and I saw my favorite movie was a book that was only 50 cents. All credit to Treasure Island and shitty school funding.

About to start the new collection of Kate Atkinson short stories. My gateway drug was Enid Blyton (probably typical for someone of my age in the UK).

    6. By Tooth and Claw. I got into it because I was looking for books about dinosaurs and found one where a magical dinosaur race are fighting against a race of lion people with magic dancers. I love it.

I’m reading *Animal Dreams* by Barbra Kingsolver, it’s my third of her books this year after reading *Demon Copperhead* and then *The Poisonwood Bible*.

I’ve been a lifelong reader, loving books since before I can remember.

Right now reading through the wheel of time books for the first time. It’s book 5 of the series and I have been enjoying it so far

    9. I’m currently reading The Burnout by Sophie Kinsella because I needed a fun, easy read. I’ve been reading for as long as I can remember. Was easy entertainment as an only kid, the library was free, and I’ve never stopped.

    10. The Creature from Jekyll Island because my co-worker can’t take a hint.

My parents would read to me, and that’s how I got into reading.

    11. The setting sun -osamu dazai.
I started reading it after I watched a biography movie about the author.

I come from a family of readers. My earliest memories are of my mom taking me to the library to get books, of her reading to me, along with my dad, as well as me practicing reading to them. Currently I’m reading a series of international spy thrillers by Andrew Turpin, on book 5, called *The Nazi’s Son*. When I’m finished with this series of his “starring” investigator Joe Johnson, I’m going to embark on his series about a British lady named Jayne Robinson who also does the same kind of work and collaborates with Johnson, an American.

I am currently listening to a fun little story called *The Flying Flamingo Sisters 2* on Audible, which is done like an old timey radio serial, and going through a book called *20,000 Words In Spanish In 20 Minutes A Day*

Currently reading Exit Strategy by Martha Wells.

I got into reading as a small child when my grandmother taught me to read.

Currently reading good girl, bad blood by Holly Jackson

And what got me into reading is quite stupid but it was its aesthetic to me and I started off with “Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe ” a lovely story about two teenage boys finding about the world and themselves and it’ll give you a good summer vibe💛

Right now I’m reading Spiral (the second book in the Ring series) and am loving how it goes from horror in the first book to a medical thriller in the second.

I got into reading thanks to my father, an artist and lover of books, and my mother, a public school teacher. They always made sure that we had a book or comic close by.

Tell the Wolves I’m Home (over 20% in and would recommend.)

I was in a relationship at the time and kept talking about wanting to try reading, so my boyfriend bought me a copy of the top seller of the day …The Davinci Code. (It was a bit cheesy at times but I still enjoyed the ride.) That kickstarted everything.
