Hello! This may be an odd request, but I’m not sure how else to frame it. I’m looking for books on the topic of food that aren’t cookbooks. Books that describe food heavily, or talk about food as part of the human experience/ condition, how food has evolved through time, how culture has influenced food, food as an emotion and/or love language, food as a plot point, etc. Something similar to Midnight Chicken by Ella Risbridger, which does have recipes, but mainly focuses on how cooking and eating well saved the author’s life. It can be either fiction or nonfiction.
Thanks in advance!
