Recommend me LGBTQ+ romance books that dont have an obvious cover
I really want a LGBTQ+ romance book but all the good ones had a really obvious cover with a couple on it and my family is extremely homophobic so i really dont want anything obvious
The House in the Cerulean Sea. One could argue the romance is more of a sub plot to the story, but it’s a great book

**Maurice, by E.M Forster.**
This is an old enough book that it‘s almost ***never*** printed with a “romance novel cover”. You could probably get a Penguin Classics version of it and they’d be none the wiser.

If you’re into Greek mythology, you can check out “The Song of Achilles” by Madeline Miller! 🙂

Love & Other Disasters by Anita Kelly. You can’t really tell that one of the characters is nonbinary just from the cover. The summary does mention pronouns, the queer community, and coming out as nonbinary tho and might be noticeable if the summary is on the back cover. It’s on the back cover of my copy, no idea if it’s the same w other copies.

A new book I’ve been enjoying is To Kiss the Sea by CH Carter. It does have an LGBTQ romance element to it, but the story is not centered on the romance. It is a fantasy, featuring a mermaid and a lord’s daughter, so if fantasy is not what you are looking for maybe not the one. The cover is just a ship at sea.
