Looking for an easy-to-get-into fantasy book

I just finished A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab and I loved it, but I’m not ready to jump into the 2nd book yet. I want to broaden my fantasy scope, as I’m trying to write a fantasy story and want to get inspiration from a bunch of different fantasy books. I’m still trying to get back into reading, and I don’t have much patience to read a book that doesn’t immediately pique my interest.

A few other books I’ve read and enjoyed are:
\- Vicious by V.E. Schwab
\- Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
\- The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

I haven’t read many books that weren’t for school in the last few years, so I don’t know a ton about my tastes, but here are some I want in a book and don’t want:
I know I want to read something fast or medium-paced, and I want it to strongly involve magic. I’m not very interested in romance as more than 25% of the plot, either. I’m not huge on “magical creatures” such as dragons, fae, vampires, werewolves, etc (or at least not the typical portrayals of those things). I like books that keep me guessing with interesting plot turns or tense moments.
