Needle in a haystack, by casey jordan, you might like. Don’t let the title fool you as it’s a very much Christian book. The author talks a lot about how God has helped her throughout her life with many difficult things, including devastating health diagnosis, marriage problems, loss and grief, sleep paralysis, night terrors, etc. And how when she calls on him for help how he helped her. It’s an interesting read. I personally know of 2 pastors who have read it and recommended it to me. Not sure if this is the type of thing you are looking for.

There’s a classic book called In His Steps, reprinted as What Would Jesus Do, that’s pretty good. It’s a little bit older, but strong writing for protestant fiction.
