I’m looking for books with a similar format (two characters starting at completely different places with no knowledge of the other and ending up meeting each other). ATLWCS takes place during WWII, but I just like the historical fiction genre in general so it doesn’t have to be the same time period. I love the theme of good vs evil, especially when one begins on the side of evil but is able to recognize and change by the end. Would also prefer an at least somewhat happier ending (iykyk).

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannnah is quite similar and also very good.
I can’t stop recommending Island of the Sea Women by Lisa See. It is historical fiction and there is some foiling between the two main characters but not in a good and evil way. It’s about friendship, perseverance, the beauty and pain of living. It’s the best historical fiction I’ve read.
