I noticed recently that all three of my favorite books had something in common. They all are non-fiction and very informative (the reader learns a lot) books written by an author who is very passionate & an expert on the subject. They also are all written in a very witty and humorous way. Does anyone have more suggestions of books along these lines?
For people who are unfamiliar with the above books:
1. Kitchen Confidential: Lifelong chef Anthony Bourdain shares his journey into the cooking world and sheds light on what happens behind-the-scenes at a restaurant.
2. Surely You’re Joking Mr. Feynman: Memoir of Physics professor and Nobel Laureate where he expounds on his fascination with physics and experience working on the Manhattan Project during World War 2.
3. Freakonomics: A leading economics scholar and university professor leverages economic principles to shed light on unorthodox topics such as sumo wrestlers or abortion.

*Footsteps* by Richard Holmes might fit the bill. He’s not funny, but he’s good company. And I’ve just started *A Most Remarkable Creature* by Richard Meiburg and his passion is evident on every page.
Would *A Walk in the Woods* by Bill Bryson count?
Anything by Mary Roach especially Packing for Mars. Funny, interesting and witty on a range of topics.
