    Hello,

Mum used to be an avid reader but she’s now got a mild memory impairment (not dementia). I wondered if shorter formats that she can read in one sitting would help give her back her love of reading.

She likes historical based fiction (she’s English), so anything based around historical royalty/in Tudor, Edwardian times – and I’ve seen Catherine Cookson, Sophie Kinsella, that really tear jerky author who did “you before me” on the bookshelf.

I’ve found a set of books specifically for mild memory loss, but they seem a bit too “easy “. She not stupid, she’s very literate, she just doesn’t have a great short term memory.
Something like a collection of short stories within the same universe would be ideal. Then she could pick any story, read it in one hit to understand the plot, and she’d probably remember the main character after a few.

I don’t know if this is enough to go on but appreciate any suggestions.
