Was talking with my daughter (14) an avid reader and she commented on a book she wants to read just based on the opening line (“That b*tch stole my soap” – Trial of the sun queen), then asked me what my favourite opening line is and an opening that came to mind is a book I can’t remember anything else about apart from the start.
It opens with a badger being hit by a car, standing up and saying “oh bugger”.
In the vain hope that someone in the world of Reddit books can help, does anyone know what the book may be (assume fantasy genre, and recall it being funny).
Please help a dad reconnect with a book 🙂
