Hey guys! I’m doing a presentation on genre tropes and wanted to include some examples from people on Reddit 🙂
I won’t include any usernames – completely anonymous – I just want a wider view of opinions on tropes and what better place to do that than on a subreddit dedicated to books lol
1) what are some “bad” tropes (character, setting, plot, theme, etc.) that you feel negatively impact society/perpetuate stereotypes? Do you have any examples?
2) what are your favorite tropes and why? What are your least favorite tropes and why? Do you have any examples?
