I’m trying to find books that are similsr to ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ and ‘No Longer Human.’ These books make me feel empty, yet satisfied after finishing them, so I was wondering if there’s any other fairly short books that match the same sort of tone

To go with the other person who recommended John green books, I think if you enjoy them (some people think they are too teenagers but I still secretly like them as an adult) then Looking For Alaska is my favorite and has a feeling of that emptiness for a good chunk of it. I re-read it this year and it definitely holds up. Also, The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August made me feel that same emptiness, not necessarily because it was sad but in a way that you can tell that everything is cyclical and never ending. I loved both of them!
